Welcome to the NEW Second Grade Web Page. The year will be over this week. I wish all of you a very enjoyable, fun and safe summer!! The children should be carefree but still have time to READ, READ and READ some more and write in their Journals. This is a great way for them to continue using their creativity and their English skills. I will miss all of you.
Spelling The list of new spelling words for the week of 6-6-05 There are no more TESTS!!!!!!!!!!!	Math PLEASE continue reviewing math facts from 10 to 18 nightly. Our new unit in math is covering geometric objects and measuring using different methods of weights. The children have been doing a lot of board work after their paper work. Hopefully, they have told you that they have begun multiplying. They are sooooooo excited.
Reading We will be working on assessments for the current unit the next few days. Then we will be reading stories in the next unit that the children pick.	Georgia O'Keefe will be the artist of the month. Congratulations to Meryl on her karate competition! Congratulations to Deana and Meryl on their violin recital. Save the Date June 8th Talent Show 11:00am
	The children had a great time with all of the "hands on" science experiments this year. But I think that their favorite was the "goo".
